Marketing Manager

Position Overview:
The Marketing Manager plays a key role in growing VBA’s brand presence, driving community engagement, and promoting programs such as VBA Connect, EmpowerED, and Kreadiv. This role oversees marketing projects from strategy to execution, manages content planning, supports event promotions, and ensures all marketing efforts align with VBA’s mission and membership goals. The Marketing Manager will work closely with the Sales and HR teams to support recruitment marketing, membership growth, and community initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and manage marketing campaigns to promote VBA membership tiers, EmpowerED initiatives, events, and creative services.
Oversee content creation for social media, email marketing, blogs, and website updates.
Maintain the marketing calendar, ensuring campaigns are planned, scheduled, and executed on time.
Support the promotion of events such as mixers, sponsorship opportunities, and Thrive (annual event).
Collaborate with the Sales and HR departments to assist in recruitment marketing and new member onboarding campaigns.
Manage and update the company website (Wix platform) to reflect current programs, promotions, and initiatives.
Coordinate with graphic designers and Kreadiv Specialists for marketing materials as needed.
Analyze and report on marketing campaign performance, suggesting improvements based on engagement and ROI.
Maintain brand consistency across all channels and materials.
Identify new marketing opportunities, partnerships, and tools that align with VBA’s mission.
Qualifications:
2+ years of marketing experience, preferably in a startup, nonprofit, or creative business environment.
Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
Proficiency with social media management, email marketing, and website editing (experience with Wix preferred).
Familiarity with Canva, Microsoft Office Suite, and project management tools like SharePoint or Asana.
Strong writing and communication skills with an eye for design and branding.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment and collaborate across departments.
Strategic thinker with a passion for helping organizations grow their community and brand.
