What to Expect During Our Hiring Process

  • HiPeople Assessment

    After submitting your application, you may be invited to complete an online assessment powered by HiPeople. This assessment is designed to evaluate your skills and how well you align with the role.

    What to expect:

    Assessment Details: The assessment typically takes 15-30 minutes. You’ll be asked to answer questions about your experience, skills, and how you fit with the role.

    Preparation: No preparation is needed. Just answer the questions honestly, and we’ll review your results.

  • Interview Process

    If you pass the assessment, you will be invited for interviews. Our interview process is designed to get to know you better and ensure you’re a good fit for the role and our company culture.

    First-Round Interview

    Format: Phone

    Focus: We’ll discuss your background, skills, experience, and motivations for applying. This is a great chance for you to get to know VBA and ask us questions.

    Second-Round Interview

    Format: Virtual

    Focus: A deeper dive into your experience and technical expertise. This may involve additional team members.

  • Offer

    If you are selected for the role, we will extend a formal offer. The offer is contingent on the successful completion of a background check.

  • If you're not selected for the role, you will receive an email notifying you of the decision. While we may not be able to provide specific feedback, we encourage you to apply for future openings at VBA.

  • After your application is reviewed, if you meet the qualifications, we will send you an invitation to complete the assessment. If you pass the assessment, we will schedule the first-round interview.

  • All remote roles at VBA are currently available only to candidates who reside in Missouri. To be considered for any role, candidates must be based in the state of Missouri. If you do not currently live in Missouri, we encourage you to explore other opportunities in your area in the future as our hiring needs evolve. Please check the job description for any specific location requirements.

  • VBA part-time employees work three weekdays, with Monday as a required workday. Employees choose two additional weekdays, which remain the same throughout the year.

    • Shift Options:

      • Morning: 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM

      • Afternoon: 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM

    • Consistent Scheduling:

      • The selected workdays remain fixed for the year.

      • Schedule changes can only be requested during the annual review period.

  • Full-time employees at VBA work Monday through Friday for 8-hour shifts per day.

    • Flexible Start & End Times:

      • Employees can clock in between 7:00 AM - 9:00 AM.

      • Clock-out time is based on the selected start time and must fall between 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM.

    VBA offers structured but flexible work schedules to help employees maintain a work-life balance while meeting business needs.
